About the winery :
Ranging from the Puyricard plateau to the summit of the Trévaresse massif, between 350 and 450 meters above sea level, the vineyard of Château du Seuil enjoys a lot of sunshine, a diversified terroir particularly favorable to the culture of grapevine: stony and dry stony clay soils with diverse exposures; a hot and dry climate in summer but cool at night; the permanent and beneficial breath of the mistral that reduces the risk of illness; an altitude that limits the alcoholic degree of the wines and gives them a great freshness, especially for whites and rosés.
Entirely registered in the appellation area of Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, it includes the main varieties of the appellation: Grenache Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cinsault, Grenache Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Ugni Blanc, Rolle.
Created patiently over the past 40 years, the Château du Seuil vineyard has 35% of old vines. The estate is today the subject of a new development in the context of sustainable agriculture based on observation, prevention and respect of the soil.
